Passages and Prayers that Inspire

The Power of Prayer

Over time the idea of prayer and speaking openly about your religion has become taboo. We are here to proudly say that anytime is a great time to pray! Never ever feel ashamed, embarrassed, or hesitant. If you feel the urge to pray or want to talk about your faith, go for it. We are only hurting ourselves and the freedom to practice our religion by staying quiet. May God bless you, your family, and your journey to stay happy, healthy, and wealthy with the love of the Holy Spirit.

If you would like to send us an uplifting prayer or passage, from any religious context, we would love to share it!

New American Standard Bible: John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."

New American Standard Bible: Genesis 1:26-28

26 Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

New American Standard Bible: Matthew 5:1-10

The Sermon on the Mount; The Beatitudes

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. 2 And He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

5 “Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.

6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Talmud, Sota

"Who acts from love is greater than who acts from fear.

"The highest form of wisdom is kindness"

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Typically said as part of the Catholic Rosary, though it also serves as an incredible prayer to help provide comfort in a stressful situation. A beautiful meditation prayer.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen
