There is nothing more patriotic than volunteering your time to help your community. Here are a list of some great Freedom Flare Co. approved nonprofits to check out!
Wounded Warrior Project- Supporting veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001. You are our focus. You are our mission. Here, you’re not a member – you’re an alumnus, a valued part of a community that’s been where you’ve been, and understands what you need. Everything we offer is free because there’s no dollar value to finding recovery and no limit to what you can achieve.
Tunnel to Towers- The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.
We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
Fisher House- Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.
Pets for Vets- Many brave troops return home with scars – both seen and unseen – that make it difficult to transition back to civilian life. At the same time, millions of wonderful companion animals wait in shelters for a forever home. Pets for Vets is the bridge that brings them together.
When a Veteran is matched with the right pet, both lives change for the better. The Veteran saves the animal and welcomes him/her into a loving home. The pet provides the Veteran with unconditional love and support, easing stress, depression, loneliness and anxiety. Together, they share a Super Bond® that provides them both with a whole new “leash” on life.
Volunteers of America- For 125 years, Volunteers of America has worked on the frontlines of service to help countless people in need. Volunteers of America, illustrating the presence of God through all that we do, serves people and communities in need and creates opportunities for people to experience the joy of serving others.

National Park Foundation- The National Park Foundation strives to ensure that all people are welcome and able to discover their own personal connections to parks. Feeding America- In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it's almost shocking that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to thrive. We work to get nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need. At the same time, we also seek to help the people we serve to build a path to a brighter, food-secure future.
The Salvation Army- The Salvation Army exists to meet human need wherever, whenever, and however we can.
Food For the Poor- Our work is motivated by our faith in God, spreading His unconditional love, regardless of race, wealth, or creed as we minister to those in desperate need in primarily 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. By providing lifesaving food, secure housing, clean water, healthcare, emergency relief, micro-enterprise projects and education opportunities, we are giving those in extreme poverty a chance at a better future, and showing them God’s love. Join us.
Destiny Rescue- Our mission is to rescue children from sexual exploitation and human trafficking and help them stay free.
Society of St. Vincent De Paul- The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization inspired by Gospel values. The Society leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. As a reflection of the whole family of God, members, known as Vincentians, come together from every ethnic and cultural background, age group, and economic level.
